Job Title: Senior Data Engineer
Location: Remote & On-Site pending on needs, Part-Time to full time, project-based

Job Overview

We are looking for a savvy Data Engineer to join our growing team of analytics experts. You will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection from our systems.

The Data Engineer will support our team on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture.

  • Are you self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products?

  • You will contribute to the development of prototypes that can be turned into end-user products by the core development team.

  • You will assist in the customization of the product for new customers and trial data analyses where required.

  • You will stay up to date with the latest advances in ML and AI.

  • You will build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using ‘big data’ technologies.

  • You will design and develop scalable ETL packages from our monitoring systems data source.

  • You will ensure the optimal connection of our databases to analytics and visualization tools

  • You will create custom software components and analytics applications.

  • You will collaborate with members of your team (e.g. data scientists, field engineers, etc.) on the project’s goals.

  • You will recommend different ways to constantly improve data reliability and quality.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other quantitative fields.

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in working with data, cloud services, database management, and optimization.

  • Experience with any object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.

  • Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.

  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra.

  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Airflow, etc.

  • Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift.

  • Strong software engineering experience is a plus.
